ORIGINS
Elizabeth "Eliza" Sindella Santos was born in Queens, New York on August 4th to a pair of show-people for parents. Selina Santos, an Oracle mage, and Giovanni "John" Alistair, a mage, businessman and stage performer. When Selina and John decided to have Eliza, they settled for New York to be their base of operations in the magic industry, opening their own stationary circus and museum “Cigam: Cabinet of Curiosities”.
Elizabeth revealed her magical capabilities at the ripe-age of ten, and when Eliza was eleven, her mother Selina passed away. Her death took a toll on John, and so began his decision to push Eliza and further her training as mage. John, a Master of the dark arts, began showing Eliza the truth of her family origin. An origin him and Selina were hesitant to reveal, but became a necessity after Elizabeth caught her father being threatened by criminals; forcing him to use his abilities in self-defense. Eliza had been performing beside her father ever since. As this light reentered their life, as they both felt closer to Selina through their bond and magic.
When Eliza turned 19, her father was threatened and presumably attacked by a nameless mage. He vanished, leaving everything-- including Eliza-- behind. After half a decade of searching and studying, Eliza believes the sorcerer responsible for her father’s disappearance resides in New Haven, and she will do whatever it takes to bring him back.

⯑ Giovanni “John” Alistair
A stage magician with the ability to manipulate true magic, specializing in Illusionistic magic. Giovanni grew up in Anchiano, Italy practicing stage magic there with his grandfather. When he was in his mid-twenties, he came to the US to tour as John Alistair, starting in New Orleans, Louisiana. There, he put on a show in a small theatre, and at the end backstage, he met an enigmatic woman by the name of Selina who described how he did his final number in full detail. This surprised Giovanni as it was a unique trick using his Illusionistic magical ability. Enamored with Selina, he discovered her career in performance as a stage performer, often singing and dancing. He found himself immune to the charms she used on mortal men, furthering his discovery into her mystical heritage. The two became stage partners, and Selina assisted John in his career as a magician in their self-owned traveling show; accompanied by a band of ‘freaks’ and other . They settled down after having Elizabeth Sindella Santos, opening 'Cigam: Cabinet of Curiosities'; a small building with a sub-level theatre and speakeasy, and a lobby magic shop, with a hall filled with their best collected curiosities (even some of their circus friends). After Selina’s passing, Giovanni’s day-to-day became more and more difficult to bear. When Eliza was 15, Cigam was the victim of an attempted robbery, leaving Giovanni to defend the assault with his true magic. After Eliza’s witnessing, he decided to introduce her to her supernatural heritage; despite his late-wife’s wishes. Soon after, John and Eliza began performing together as 'The Amazing Alistair’s' until Eliza turned 19, and her father was once again attacked but this time, by an unnamed sorcerer; causing Giovanni to vanish entirely.
† Selina Santos
A powerful oracle, Selina died after fleeing the States to defend her Romani people who had been hiding in northern Turkey. Selina was the owner of a set of three jewels belonging to her and her people, charming them to behave as a magical link. Selina gave one to her tribe, and turned two into talismans, keeping one for herself and one to be bestowed upon her daughter Eliza when she come of age to discover her powers. The jewel given to Selina's tribe helped keep them hidden from those who would wish them extinct, and all three of them could be tapped with a spell to communicate to one another. Eliza keeps hers, and still wears it to this day.
